Great roller coaster. This movie shows how a sequel should be for a great first part. Dhrishyam 2 follows the same pattern as in Dhrishyam were in the first half the entire premise will be set as a family drama and then the twists and turns blows our mind in the second half.

Probably the best Mollywood thriller I've watched, most spoil the sequel movie, watching for a while I thought it's a drag but after the move he makes one by one you end up sitting at the edge of the seat! I'll definitely recommend this to anyone and it's a masterpiece 👍

🎬 D R I S H Y A M - 2 🎥 ✒️ M O V I E ▪️ R E V I E W In the recent times, Malayalam crime thrillers are becoming talk of the town and film like Drishyam set a high benchmark for Indian film industry. Infact, Drishyam is the only Indian film which was remade in Chinese. Most of the sequels in india were made to cash in on the popularity of the first film. However, there are very few gems where the director tries to put his best efforts to connect the dots layed out from the original film. Yes! Jeethu Joseph once again proved his worth and showed his master class in the Sequel Drishyam 2 : The Resumption. Right from the opening scene, each frame was well connected to the first version. The detailing for each scene was simply mind-blowing to watch. Most of the characters played in the first version were retained and only few new faces played their part in the sequel. All the new characters introduced in the sequel were perfectly synced with the plot. Director justified the new roles and their contribution for the twist and turns in the screenplay is quite amazing. Though the original version was remade in many Indian languages, most of us will still love 'George Kutty'. Kudos for the director for sketching such a flawless character that lives for many years . It is very difficult for someone to imitate what George Kutty has done in this film because his acting was so smooth and fluidic while delivering the crucial moments in the film. Mohan Lal is an asset for our indian cinema and there is lot to learn from this ace actor. For instance, the transformation scene from being confident family head to frightened poor father was simply superb and master class. The best part of this film is, as an audience we want George Kutty want to win and come out of the trap plotted by the cops. The encounter scenes between Murali Gopi and Mohan Lal was treat to watch. Infact, Asha Sharath played her role well in the first version. Surprisingly, Murali Gopi picked up in style from where it was ended. Meena and Esther did a decent job and justified their role while Asha Sharath and Siddique are effectively used in the second half. All the supporting roles displayed their best performance for the gripping screenplay. The interval block gives the pinch of shocking element and set the right tone for the second half. Top notch cinematography provides a stunning visuals for us to absorb the beauty of Kerala. The drone shots of George Kutty's house and green land of god's own country is visually appealing to watch with some breezy background score. On the downside, few may complain about the slow paced screenplay and lengthy shots in the first half but that time is actually required for the director to connect all the characters in the plot. Moreover, that build up is needed to create that tension atmosphere in the minds of the audience. In terms of making and screenplay the first version is too good but it is a worthy best try from the director to give us a edge of a seat thriller experience in the sequel. Overall, Drishyam 2 is a rare best made sequel which need to be experienced in the big screen but unfortunately it was released in OTT and it is available in Amazon Prime. Nevertheless,it is a perfect mystery crime thriller and a worth sequel to watch at your own convenience. Jeethu Joseph's smart direction, twisting screenplay and brillance of Mohan Lal acting makes this sequel a must watch in 2021
