It’s not very often you find such a good series as this one. Very interesting and suspenseful story, follow especially two girls over three years, switching between the years to see what’s going on, on the same day of the three years (hope it makes sense lol). It’s kind of a mystery where you are trying to figure out what exactly happened and who to believe while more and more pieces of the story are being unlocked 🔓 The only thing that did annoy me a bit was that the scenes from the last years was to filtered and melancholic at times. Also, I really hope that they don’t make more seasons of this. It might not makes sense since I really loved this show, but it ended with a closing and they should keep it like that and don’t drag out. Please. Go watch it, it’s great 🤗

🤩 Wow okay, 𝕃𝕆𝕍𝔼𝔻 this. Such a mystery, really keeping you holding on waiting for any string to lead you to the truth. I struggled to go to bed because I needed to know what happened!! 😳 The way this was set out was perfection. Flitting between the 3 years for each day, wow. ⏳ Not seen a time flip done so well or unique like this. And each day held significance for information, not giving too little or too much. And I followed each time very easily, not confusing. They did well with the hairstyles, age looks, tone and colour of each year. Knew which year by lighting alone. Aurelia's ages are the most believable and I'm actually so impressed by it. She genuinely looks younger and even the way she holds herself/acts feels like her age. Incredible acting there. Holt in general 👌🏼 impressive. 🥸 Good job at showing how things aren't always as they seem. Someone seems a villain but isn't and someone seems isn't but really is. 💯 My initial hype and excitement wants to give full 10s and I almost loved it so much I don't care about any faults... but there were some! If you haven't seen it, watch it! 🤙🏼 If you have, here's my initial post-thoughts 👀 ☆ 𝑺𝑷𝑶𝑰𝑳𝑬𝑹𝑺 ☆ 📺 So my main main problems were... it was set in 90s and there were some nods/attempts but it didn't feel fully committed or believable. It didn't feel like they actually were in that time but probably enough to satisfy most. They tried to throw in occasional things like dial up Internet 💾 (though not as long a noise or wait than it truly was) and one or two occasiobal words but didn't feel like the same vocab.. overall felt half hearted. Other thing that bugged me was the traumatic effects of kidnapping.. each person reacts differently but definitely felt dulled down. Though I loved some aspects like feeling alone, especially in time set. And adoooored exploring the grooming concepts and how differently it can look but is still wrong and bad. But felt yeah trauma felt dulled down AND some themes felt more current and would not have been the case culturally at that time. I remember VERY clearly how immensely taboo it was to be gay, how vocal people were about it, how often slang words were used and didn't seem bad. Anyone who was gay would have been SO much more terrified (and my memory is of the UK.. can't imagine Texas!!) And other small things like 'not bringing other women down' - felt like current conversations. Definitely weren't as woke to that back then (not that everyone wasn't but there was a lot of writing that felt like now not then) and so also other more bad now but didn't realise at time vocab wasn't used. Not great to be around but was definitely cut from their versions of history. That's the big stuff. Here's small: Mallory reeeeeally gets on my nerves and isn't a good friend even till the end.. she's a toxic bully, so mean and controlling. Total unnecessary bully and yet still ends up friends with Kate.. Annoying. Upset disappointed that Kate and Mallory were mean about Jeannette on the show calling her a creep, especially when K and J legit JUST had this reconciling and powerful moment and understanding. So that was out of place and disappointing Love how little details thrown in made sense of bigger moments later.. like how when Kate asked Jeanette if she wanted to go in basement with her, she answered REAL quick! But I thought to her moment of saying she felt like she started the darkness by being stood there.. so maybe going down with K, she could end that darkness. (Though she ended being proper psycho, which tbf, good plot choice I suppose. That was something ha) Glad Martin had this conflict of going to take life then couldn't because I felt it didn't make total sense for him to go through with it. And we know Kate's a good shot No lie, thought it was gonna be (and sorta wish still) that Mal knew all along and had this obsession with Kate and kept tabs on her and she was the one who came and killed Martin (and Kate's memory blocked or something).. then positioned her to be her friend and in same places (therapists) and kept kate collection (like snowglobe) - that'd have been a sick plot twist! 😏

I feel like every show and movie is adding some sort of time play into it these days... this however shows a different style with all 3 years playing out at the same time. I’m enjoying the show so far even though it’s still airing.

Some episodes were slow, but it picked up. Glad it was conclusive.
